Autobet.US offers four pari-mutuel pools odds per auto racing event like NASCAR and formula one. An event might
be the race itself, qualifying, or one of the practice sessions*.
It is important to understand what each pool is to know how best
to odds and profit from each one. To better understand how the payoffs
work, please read our pari-mutuel Explained page.
Win
The Win pool is self explanatory. To win on this pool, the bettor must correctly choose the winner of the event. Autobet.US offers 20 different entries per event. 19 of these entries will be specific drivers. These drivers will normally be the 19 most popular or most likely to win the event. The remaining entry is reserved for the, “Field.” The Field consists of any unnamed driver*.
Top 3
The Top 3 pool goes to the first 3 finishers of the race.
To win, the bettor must correctly pick one of the
Top 3 finishers. Because there are three winners of this pool
there are three payoffs as well.
Quinella
The Quinella is correctly choosing the first and second place finishers. To win this pool, you need not bet the exact order of the first two finishers. The entries may come in either order.
Example – If the bettor chooses the 97-24 Quinella, the bettor will win rather the race finishes with 97 1st, and 24 2nd, or 24 1st 97 2nd. If the race finishes any other way than these two orders though, the bettor loses.
To further clarify, there is no difference in betting a Quinella 97-24 and a Quinella 24-97.
Superfecta
The Superfecta is correctly
choosing the first four finishers in exact order. That’s
right, in order to win this bet, the bettor must correctly predict
the first four finishers exactly as they cross the finish line*. The
Superfecta features a carryover pool. This means that
money wagered into this pool will be carried into the next racing
event if there is no winner. Much
like a lottery, the difficulty of winning this wager should ensure
that when someone wins this wager, the payoff will be of
jackpot size. If there is more than one winner, then all
winners will split the pool equally based on the size of their bet.
If one person bets $2 on a winning Superfecta and the other bets
$1, then the $2 bettor will receive 2/3 of the pool and the $1 bettor
1/3.
Due to the
complexity of this pool, the Superfecta also features a consolation
pool. In the event there are no 4 out of 4 correct tickets,
25% of the monies wagered on that event will be distributed to
those correctly selecting the top three finishers as a consolation.
If no tickets have the top 3 correct, then the consolation will
go to tickets with the top 2 finishers. Finally, if no tickets
have the top 2 finishers, the consolation will be divided amongst
the tickets with the correct race winner.
Autobet Double
The Autobet Double is correctly choosing the winner of two separate racing events. Normally, this wager will feature the Nextel Cup Qualifying and the Nextel Cup Race. However it could tie together Formula One, IRL, CART, Busch, or other series as well.
